Light
Hello friends! Welcome back to another post!
Today we will learn about light from science.
There is a lot of things that I will tell you in Light. Therefore I have will cover this topic in various parts. This is part 1.
Let's begin!
What is light?
You already know that light is like a 'invisible line' that enables us to see thing. If there was no light then we will not be able to see.
There are 2 types of light 'lines' (not literally line)- A ray and a beam
What is a object that gives its own light called?
An object that gives its own light is called an light source. It can also be called a luminous object.
The sun is a very common example of a light source. A flashlight and a light bulb, when on can also give light. The flame from the candle and the stars in the sky are all examples of light sources.
What is an object that does not give its own light called?
An object which cannot or does not give its own light is called a non-luminous object.
All objects we see around us is non-luminous (except for the luminous objects). There is a lot of 'items' in the non-luminous objects list. Even we humans are non-luminous.
How can we see things? How does light enter our eye?
The questions above are probably the most asked questions when a person hears about light.
Light is one of the most important things in our life. It enables us to see. Imagine if there was no light, no sun, and no luminous objects. Then our life would become difficult.
Now to the next question - How does light enter our eye?
Light travels from a light source then onto an non-luminous object and bounces back to our eye. The light ray that travels from the light source to the non-luminous object is called the incident ray. The light ray that travels from the non-luminous object to the eye is called the reflected ray.
